The
Provost Guard is one of ARABA Temple's finest and oldest units.
The Provost Guard was formed for the purpose of maintaining law
and order within the Temple and is entrusted with the protection
of the persons of the Nobility and property of the Temple. The
Provost Guard assists in all other activities as decreed by the
Potentate or Marshal. Members of the Provost Guard solicit funds
at parades to build up the "Button Account" which support the
Shrine and its Children's Hospitals.
The
Provost Guard meets at ARABA Temple the second Monday of the
month (excluding July and August) at 11:00 a.m. After the
business meeting, members enjoy lunch and fellowship at a local
restaurant. We try to have a social, either lunch or dinner with
our ladies on a monthly basis. We attend stated meetings and the
morning portion of ceremonials as a uniformed unit. The Provost
Guard at the meeting assists with presentation of the colors.
The
Provost Guard is composed of former law enforcement, security
and military members, others of us are not. All Shriners not
already in a parade unit are welcome. If interested in joining
the Provost Guard please contact
